Bock Furniture at 121 E. Mountain in the Kissock Block, c. 1905

Charles Bock

Of the many house furnishing stores in the City of Fort Collins there is none more associated with the history of the city than that of our old citizen and sturdy pioneer, Mr. Charles Bock. He has a large and elegantly stocked store at No. 121 East Mountain avenue and is a dealer in furniture, carpets, stoves, ranges and stove repairs and has been in his present location for five years. He has been in Larimer County for well nigh 26 years and does a very extensive trade with patrons in city and country. Mr. Bock has earned success by industry, honesty and an ever readiness to meet patrons in a fair and reasonable manner. He has not only met with success, but has commanded the respect and confidence of his patrons and acquaintances.

S. J. Milligan

The substantial character of the houses erected in the city within the past few years in particular bear testimony to the good taste of the citizens and the competency of the contractors and builders. In this connection we would refer to Mr. S. J. Milligan, contractor and builder, No. 139 North Meldrum street. Mr. Milligan has been established for four years and is one of the most enterprising and responsible contractors in the city. He has a number of employees and is chiefly engaged in the building of homes, principally cottages, of from 5 to 10 rooms. His contracts amount to over $20,000 per annum, which is a significant testimony to his skill and popularity. Mr. Milligan is a native of Illinois and is one of our city's most respected tradesman and citizens.
