F. H. Gilcrest Lumber Co.

The growth and prosperity of Fort Collins have attracted this enterprising lumber firm and a local branch has been established. This company is known and operates throughout the whole state and is known for its supply of high grade goods at low prices. The company deal in lumber, paints, oil, glass, building materials, plaster, cement and lime, and have extensive local premises on Laporte avenue opposite the railroad. They also handle Matchless coal which is considered the best and they always have a large quantity in store so as to meet the demands of their customers with the utmost promptness. This company is old established, is closely associated with the development of many state towns enjoys a most enviable reputation and naturally receives the most liberal patronage from builders, contractors and others. The local manager, Mr. C. K. Gould, is a man of tact, affability and business capacity, who handles the business of his company with consummate skill and pronounced success.

C. O. D. Grocery

The steady growth of the city makes openings for additions to the ranks of our retail merchants, and quite recently the C. O. D. Grocery establishment opened its doors for the purpose of supplying our citizens with the finest staple and fancy groceries. The store is located at No. 201 Jefferson street and has lately been renovated and painted. It measures 25x60 feet and is nicely fitted and plentifully stocked. The proprietor, Mr. W. R. Berrian, who came here from Colorado Springs, has had many years experience in the grocery trade, and has judiciously resolved to deal only in fresh, pure and high class goods. His excellent merchandise, combined with a frank and upright disposition, will enable Mr. Berrian to command success. He is a welcome addition to the ranks of our merchants and citizens.
