B. H. Helton

In referring to the principal business establishments of Fort Collins, it is only right and proper to give especial mention to such an important concern as that of The Mansion Livery, Feed and Sale Stables. This concern was established years ago by Early & Clammer, who sold out to Mr. Helton some months ago. The stables are situated at the corner of Jefferson and Linden streets and are the most commodious and best equipped in the city. The management makes a specialty of fine rigs, and enjoys the patronage of our leading citizens. Mr. Helton is an industrious and honest merchant. He hails from Ault, Colo., and is affiliated with the Odd Fellows and W. O. W.

Poudre Valley House

This is a large rooming and boarding house established five years ago. It is ably conducted by Mr. M. F. Adams, the proprietor. Mr. Adams is a native of Illinois, but spent most of his life until coming to Colorado twelve years ago in Ohio and Kansas. His establishment consists of twenty-six nicely furnished rooms and as a rule these rooms are all rented, as patrons can always rely on receiving excellent board and first class service. The house is located at 248 Linden street and is within two blocks from the railway depot. The usual rates are $1 per day, but special rates are awarded permanent guests. Mr. Adams' fraternal sympathies are with the Brotherhood of America.
