The Palace Grocery

This store was opened about two years ago by the present proprietor, Mr. J. H. Sargisson, who is a dealer in staple and fancy groceries and has a finely fitted and amply stocked store at No. 225 Linden street. By strict attention to business, honest, straightforward, upright dealings and the trading in first class merchandise, Mr. Sargisson has quadrupled his business and now the Palace Grocery is one of the city's leading grocery houses. Personally speaking, the proprietor is an industrious and enterprising merchant, a pioneer of Colorado who has been in the district for thirty-four years, and who well deserves the support and confidence extended to him by his numerous friends, acquaintances and patrons. For three years he has acted as county commissioner with marked credit to himself and satisfaction to his constituents.

Burlingame & Kirby

The tonsorial establishments of the city are beyond a doubt a credit to the owners and citizens. A promising firm in that line is Burlingame & Kirby., whose parlor is located at No. 132 Linden street. The members of the firm are practical tonsorial artists and employ two experienced and careful assistants. The firm has been established for three years and has a trade demanding the accommodation offered by four chairs. The premises are clean and the artists experienced and capable, hence the firm enjoys a very liberal amount of patronage. The partners are Mr. W. F. Burlingame and Mr. J. E. Kirby, a native of the state. Both are young and energetic tradesmen and are popular and loyal citizens. Porcelain baths are connected with this establishment.
