Western Real Estate Exchange

In referring to the prominent real estate and investment agencies of the city, facts demand that due publicity be given to such a leading and responsible institution as that of the Western Real Estate Exchange, having its headquarters at No. 7 Avery block. This concern does a large real estate business, including city lots, homes, farm lands, etc., negotiate loans on same, collect rents and undertake the general management of properties and buy and sell business chances. The Exchange has had a very prosperous career, due to excellency of management, absolute rectitude in all its dealings and an honorable and courteous treatment of its clients and others. The manager of the company is Mr. H. G. Shaw, a man of excellent qualities, sound judgment and extensive knowledge, to which homeseekers and settlers can apply for information on which they can with confidence rely.

James F. Roten

The city of Fort Collins is undoubtedly to be congratulated in having in its midst so many prosperous merchants. That this should be so is a significant tribute to the durability and stability of the city's growth and business importance. The various stores bear evidence of prosperity and perhaps in no line is this more evident than in those of the furniture trade, in which line we have Mr. James F. Roten. Mr. Roten has premises located at 209 Jefferson street, and carries a full line of new and second hand furniture. He has been in business for seven years and has built up a very large and increasing trade and enjoys the confidence of his numerous friends and patrons.

Mr. Roten hails from North Carolina and is an industrious and upright merchant as also a respected citizen.
