Clark, Jessie Kissock and Rubey Kissock Roberts Jessie Kissock Clark and her sister, Rubey Kissock Roberts were born in Fort Collins. Jessie was a life-time resident of Fort Collins and a local newspaper columnist. Rubey lived in Denver after her marriage to Irving Roberts. They both created scrapbooks of Jessie's newspaper articles and other historical articles from the Denver and Fort Collins newspapers. This collection contributes to the history of the City of Fort Collins, Denver, and provides personal information on the two sisters and their families. Included in the collection are 12 scrapbooks, financial ledgers, medical histories, genealogical information, letters, photographs and cards. |

Crawford, Gurney - "Father Goose" A resident of Larimer County, former state game warden, and conservationist for the Colorado Division of Wildlife, Gurney was well-known in the community for the reintroduction of the Canada Goose to the area. Tax Assessor Records Record cards include photographs, drawings of the footprint of the buildings on the lot, construction and remodel dates, sometimes the date of removal or moving of a structure, value of the property, and measurements of the interior and exterior of the building. The Tax Assessor's office donates their old records to the archive for historic research purposes after they have microfilmed the entire record. The earliest record available is for the year 1948. The archive does not have a record for every property, but the Tax Assessor has either the old record or the microfilmed record available to view. The Loveland Museum, Berthoud Museum, and Estes Park Library have the discarded tax records for their communities. Many of the photographs from the Old Town Fort Collins records have been scanned and are available in the on-line photograph database. Some brief information from the records may also be entered in the description of the catalog record. The entire record may be viewed at the Tax Assessor Office in the Court House at 200 W. Oak or at the library's archive. |

Contains records of the organization from 1966 until its changeover to the Education and Life Training Center (ELTC) in 1994. The majority of the collection consists of papers documenting the functions and programs of the VCH. Also included are the minutes of the organization from 1967 to 1971, and the minutes of later meetings that are not as well documented. The collection is incomplete. There are some records still in the possession of ELTC. |
