C0169. File Case, drawer 3. "Conoco Golden Gate International Exposition Touraide Souvenir Edition." Denver, Colorado: Conoco Travel Bureau, Continental Oil Company, 1939. This Touraide was created to outline specific routes for an individual to drive to the Exposition, including all of the road and bridge construction occurring at the time. It provides a list of scenic areas to visit and maps for the United States and Canada that include detours, mileage, locations of Conoco stations, hotels, resorts, auto courts, and house trailer camps. This Guide was created especially for J.B. Cahill, Fort Collins grocery store owner. It shows his best route to the fair on a large U.S. map and then his route was marked on each state's individual map. California State University Library also provides photographs of the Exposition.
