DescriptionThe Albert B. Tomlin family formal portrait. From L to R: Galen; Thomas; wife, Elizabeth; baby Wesley (1889-1964); Oliver; Albert B. (A.B.); Eleanor (Mrs. Frank Esgar). Henry is not in this picture, he lived from 1891-1940. On the back of the picture is a short biography of Albert B. Tomlin which reads: "Pioneer merchant. Born in Maryland, 1840. In 1863 drove ox team to Denver, and with Army expedition against Ute Indians. Freighted with mule teams up to Montana. Tried prospecting, farming and teaching. Came here in 1873, worked in stores. Became part owner of W.C. Stover store at Linden and Jefferson, then full owner of Fort Collins Mercantile Co. County Treasurer 1879-80. Donated by Julia Tomlin Willis
