Plummer School
Plummer School
TitlePlummer School
Image ID NumberH03170
DescriptionBlack and white photograph of the Plummer Public School, located at Vine and Summit View Drives, Fort Collins, Colorado. Built originally in 1906 on land donated by James Ezra Plummer who began farming east of Fort Collins in 1882. It was used as a school until 1960 when it was closed. It was sold to a private party in 1977 and has been privately held since. It has been placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1977 and listed on the Colorado Register of Historic Places in 1996. It is currently used as an art gallery and residence. The City of Fort Collins says it will have to be moved or destroyed to make room for Vine Drive to become a four lane road, probably by 2008.
