DescriptionWilliam C. Stover, founder of the Poudre Valley (now United) Bank, and several other businesses, was born in Virginia and came to Colorado in 1860, to Fort Collins in 1870. He founded, with C. H. Sheldon, the bank of which he continued as president until 1893. He was a member of the Colorado Constitutional Convention of 1875.
