DescriptionBlack and white photograph of the Obenchain mill race. His mill was in operation from 1863/4 until c. 1872. Mill located in Bellvue area on south side on river, specifically, in parts of Section 24, Township 8N, Range 70W. Photo shows mill race (now dry) from Poudre River to mill site. In the photo the river channel is also dry. The Poudre River flood of 1976 (also, the Big Thompson flooded in 1976) caused the river to form a new channel north of the pre-1976 channel.
