DescriptionW. Hoffman (left) and E. E.Fox (right) on steps of the Fort Collins Post Office as they prepare to deliver holiday mail. They are two of the oldest carries on Fort Collins routes with Mr. Hoffman being hired in 1915 and Mr. Fox being hired in 1904. Mr. Fox was one of the first four carriers employed at the Fort Collins Post Office. Photo appeared on the front page of the December 23, 1937 edition of the "Fort Collins Express-Courier." The photographer and feature writer, William Reddick Martin, was working for the "Fort Collins Express-Courier" in 1937-38, and these are his photographs that accompanied his articles. Mr. Martin was born February 10, 1914 and died July 2, 2005 in Denver, Colorado.
