In the photo there is a C & S train and several layed out railroad ties places beside where the track is being layed down. On the back of the photo in black ink is written "Small Colorado Railroad began laying tracks in 1902 from Fort Collins to Wellington Colorado and Southern Railroad in 1908 purchased railway and completed construction Oct. 15, 1911.
