DescriptionColor sent postcard of Mount Chapin in Estes Park. There is a road in the middle of the picture. This postcard was sent on August 21, 1914. The description printed on the back of the postcard reads "Mount Chapin. Estes Park is one of the really great attractions of the United States, as is apparent from the fact that it is included in the proposed new National Park. Lying in a great natural amphitheatre of at least 100, 000 acres, it is encircles on every side by a circle of great snow peaks. Mount Chapin is one of the best known of these picturesque mountains. -7490." The message, which is to Miss Flossie Jones, at 814 Seventh St. Greeley, Colo., reads "Dear Ted - I have been on a trip and so rushed I couldn't write so will drop a card and write so you will get it Mon. noon. The rush will soon be over now ____ are well and feeling fine and hope you are. As ever, Charles"
