TitleTrilby Road Bridge
Image ID NumberH25134
Decade1960s
DescriptionColor image of Trilby Bridge in Fort Collins, Colorado. From image owner Jim Burrill: "When my grandmother Ruth Burrill married William H. Dermody, she married into a railroad family. Here's what he did for Union Pacific, he built bridges. This is the Trilby Road bridge, picture taken probably about 1960, not long before his retirement from the railroad. He drove the I-beams into the ground for the current bridge there using this pile driver powered by steam. Before that, the bridge was made of wood."
