DescriptionJessie, right, with unknown woman. Jessie Keney was born September 29, 1902 in De Soto, Missouri. Her parents were Robert and Laura Ann Keney. Her family moved to Fort Collins in 1904. She married Sherman Roberts in Fort Collins in 1930. He died in 1964. She worked for both the city and county clerks offices. She died October 18, 1992 in Fort Collins. She is buried in Grandview Cemetery (Obit.10-20-92). The Keney family owned a farm, located in the northwest corner of section 22, Township 7 North, Range 69 West. It was 14 1/4 acres. (1940 Larimer County Atlas). Jessie and Sherman lived at 1309 Laporte St. Photograph in the Jessie Roberts Collection.
