| Description | Leeta Crook was born September 23, 1905 in Meadow Grove. Nebraska. Her parents were Thomas and Drusilla Crook. She and her family moved to Del Norte in 1920. Leeta became a teacher, and taught at Twin Mound School near Loveland, Timnath, and in 1936, she moved to Fort Collins, where she also taught school. She continued to be involved in education, becoming a principal, and a elementary coordinator. She retired in 1968. During World War II, she worked in a war plant in Cailfornia. Leeta died October 31, 2002. (Obit. 11/3/2002). Located in the Florence Watts Collection. |
