DescriptionLooking north at Spring Canyon that was later filled with water for Horsetooth Reservoir. Some of the buildings of Stout are in the background. Most of the Stout buildings were sold and moved; and some demolished when Horsetooth Reservoir, a part of the Colorado-Big Thompson project, was built 1946-1949. Some of the buildings' remains are still under the reservoir. The quote on the photograph says, "It was a beautiful 'spring green' in the late afternoon sun." From Ellen Brainard Dibble.
